This piece is my 2nd portrayal of Michael Jordan’s gravitational talent with this version of him flying over the earth. My inspiration came from his book Rare Air, which showed the world unseen footage that was captured during his prime. In order to create depth off of the canvas, I graffitied Jordan on the backside of acrylic plexiglass. I then placed the plexiglass slightly off the textured canvas of my depiction of Earth. This multi-dimensional technique creates a shadow that takes this piece to the next level.
