The artist known as Prince was an influential icon for various forms of art. I wanted to capture his infectious aura which now resides as an angel in heaven. I decided to create angel wings by combining gold leaf over metallic silver acrylic for a simplistic yet powerful contrast. As a representation of Purple Rain, I crafted the outer portion of the piece with textured drops that lay behind a blend of a variety purple and blue hues. A truly apropos sequence that embodies the artist formally known as Prince.
